  Beautiful setting, very tranquil, nice people but difficult to get hold of. Quite remote and almost no internet access, which got frustrating. We found the accommodation adequate: the kitchen was clean and well stocked, the beds were comfortable and there were enough warm blankets, the fire worked and was well supplied with wood. However, the curtains were gauze, offering no privacy and no chance to sleep in as the sun was up by 4.30! The couches were very old and uncomfortable and we ended up sitting on the outdoor garden chairs - not really conducive to curling up with a good book. One was so smelly with mould we dragged it onto the patio and then couldn't use the outdoor area. We also had to clean the filter on the washing machine and would have done lots of minor repairs (like fixing door handles, oiling doors etc) if my husband had brought his tool kit. The curtain rails were filthy (so we couldn't hang up blankets), there were not enough hangers and there was a huge stinging nettle bush growing by the balcony! However, the children enjoyed the daily horse rides and our little dog was welcome, which was fun.
